More than 1300 pageant characters - staff from six credit unions (including 162 Community CPS staff, family and friends) and many volunteers - joyfully paraded through the streets of Adelaide along the Pageant Route. 

Every year, our magical parade of floats, bands, fairytale characters, clowns and of course, Father Christmas, winds its way through the city and finishes when Father Christmas arrives at the 'landing stage' in North Terrace, where he greets the crowd and then heads into the Magic Cave with the Pageant Queen.  

Last year, Community CPS staff were on the following floats: Father Christmas, Summertime Sprinkler, Stretching things a bit too far, Twas the Night Before Christmas, Alfie the Long Hot Dog, Toyville Trolley, Bandicoot Bore, Stardust Castle, Puss in Boots, Jolly Swagman, Nimble and Anything is Possible (Tutti).

Our 2007 Pageant Princess was Marlaina McPhillips from our SA Member Contact Centre.

Marlaina said, "I took the opportunity of being involved in the Pageant to illustrate the community focus of credit unions, as I believe the Pageant strengthens the relationship between credit unions and the community. The Pageant demonstrates what credit unions do not only for their members, but the whole community."
