Merger with Companion Credit Union effective 1 January 2010 Merger with Companion Credit Union effective 1 January 2010 We are pleased to announce that the merger of Companion Credit Union and Community CPS Australia became effective on 1 January 2010.
This marks a new beginning for Companion Credit Union members and staff. All of our members will benefit from a stronger member base of approximately 180,500 members, which includes the 10,500 members of Companion Credit Union.
The combined entity will be able to meet the challenges of the future from a position of strength and will enable us to provide our members with new and innovative product and service developments in a highly competitive market. Building strong relationships with our members will continue to be our primary focus, as well as increasing our community involvement. It is very important that we continue to be 100% Australian owned by our members so we’re not answerable to external shareholders. Our surplus funds will continue to be returned to our members in the form of better services, innovation and advances in technology. We welcome Companion Credit Union members to the Community CPS Group. |
